I mean this is all semantics but say someone was born in 1965 they’d have kids when  they were about 20 (‘85) those kids would be 27 now, not exactly new grads. And that’s the first year AFTER the boomer generation. The majority of people still had/have kids younger nation-wide. I’m just saying, I’m hesitant to chalk this up to a boomer trend. The majority of the boomer generation are grandparents at this point.

Granted, I went to high school in a college town, but most of my friends who graduated from college a couple of years ago had parents born 1961 or before.

I mean obviously this is all semantics and obviously we shouldn’t put all the Boomers on a rocketship into the sun or whatever.

My parents were born in 1933 and 1943, but okay, they’re clear outliers. But yeah, most of my friends’ parents were definitely born in the 50s/early 60s.

Either way, I still have trouble believing parents would behave that way, and people my age would actually let them. Where is your pride/sense of independence, children??
